A Semester in Pictures

Some highlights from last semester
Last semester, my second semester at BYU, was super fun, so I put together this little collage of some of the highlights. I'll miss the ease of the Cannon Center and the encompassing wings (heh heh) of Taylor Hall, but I'm excited for what the future holds. The end of the semester was bitter sweet. Anyway, here is a little summary of what I've been up to.

1. This is what happens when you camp outside in February to get a housing contract. Liberty Square, baby!
2. Ah, Face-in-Hole. The beautiful program that lets you insert your face into any picture you want. My friends and I went through a bit of a Face-in-Hole craze, creating many a creepy picture of ourselves with any boy we could find a picture of. Or, in this case, an apology that used to be a picture of a cat, but since nobody likes cats, it's now a picture of my dog Abbey.
3. Spring has sprung! Well, summer has sprung. In any case, what pretty trees! Most of them emit a terrible smell that resembles gym socks, but they're so pretty to look at that it doesn't really matter. I wish these grew in AK.
4. March 14 was Pi Day. Since Zoey was visiting during her spring break, we decided to throw back to our high school t-shirt making days and make ourselves some Pi Day shirts! We were the talk of the town. Not really.
5. Stripes. Can't get enough of 'em.
6. Me and a couple of my future roomies after the premiere of the Hunger Games. All the five girls in our group dressed as Katniss. p.s. The movie was amazing.
7. The RB was where I spent much of my time, either at clogging, folk dance, ballet, zumba, or the gym.
8. Folk dance was a big part of my semester - this is me in my Lithuanian costume. The braids were fake, and my teacher had to shove my headband down onto my head because it was too small for my oversized noggin. Even after the costumestress (not a word) adjusted it.
9. The Creep Masters, which consisted of me and my future roommates, was the facebook group where we posted creeper pics of pretty much anyone. It was the home to many of the Face-in-Hole pictures.
10. For my English class (which was amazing), my teacher dressed up as a cowgirl for her "grammar rodeo," and she invited us all to do the same. That's why she is one of the top 300 professors in the nation, according to the Princeton Review.
11. Future roomies! I love these girls.
12-14. A few shots of my dorm. I'll miss Taylor 1200 and my roomie, Zoe.
15. My dance shoes from college this year - character shoes (folk dance), ballet slippers, clogging shoes, hard shoes (Irish), ghillies (Irish). Dance classes were among my favorite classes, I'm so glad to be getting back into dance.

Sorry this post is so long, but it sums up an entire semester, so I could've made it a lot longer! Thanks for reading.

First Post!

Hello, family member (I'm assuming. You could be a close friend whose arm I twisted into reading this). Welcome to my new blog! I'm not going to lie, I think it's really cute, probably because I designed the background myself. I thought I would start this blog to keep everyone updated on my travels and funventures (I'm pretty sure I coined this term. It will become a word). Especially since I have received so many complaints about my lack of communication this past year that I've been at college. I will be recording the major (or sometimes minor) events in my life, uploading pics of any rare and particularly cute outfits, and maybe posting about my beloved crafts when I get the chance. Thanks for reading, and enjoy!
